Well the announced start of US deliveries is 25-Sep-2026 so I am glad some buyers are starting to see movement toward production week slots. Very curious though how on another Bimmerpost thread, a number of UK/EU buyers have had orders in since last fall and are just starting to get their deliveries (though there appear to be a number of delivery holds going on for software updates and other issues). I thought the order accepted status was still really Code 47, since ordering guides are not officially published and configurations cannot be finalized for production orders (even if my configuration has been loaded, I thought it was pending finalization). Having been through this before with other BMW's, I've always had the ordering guide "in hand" before signing off on the order.
No email for me yet. I reserved on May 13 (a week after reservations opened). Seems like they are truly going on a first ordered basis.
Order now in the UK you won’t see the car until next year, so the minor wait might be frustrating it’s not terrible. Other markets are even worse I believe.

Looks like with 111 at least you have a build slot that has been grabbed and approved and planned. At first orders were getting quicker as more capacity was added. But with the build issues and software / module delays things aren’t progressing foreword. My date hasn’t changed forwards or backwards for months now.

BMW Genius just confirmed 111 status and also reported Week 36 (Last day of August and first week of September) for planned production. Glad to see I advanced from 47 on the VIR when the order was first accepted! I assume most of you are likely in a similar situation.
my status is also 111
Did you have to contact your dealer to learn your status? Or if not, how did you discover it?
Keep in mind, even with a US build date in late July, it will take a while to fully complete production on the car and then get it to a shipping dock and then ship across to the US and then to a dealer. Not surprised they guesstimate late September delivery for start of US production.

I called the BMW Genius and gave the live agent my production number. She read back the status code and planned production week.

Actually the email I received from BMWUSA stated "Order Received" and that is what is reflected in the BMW Garage, so I'm fairly sure that is still a 47 status though they are apparently moving toward next steps in the process.

I changed my config today. Dealer sent me an updated order sheet. That had my status on it
Similar story here in North Carolina.
May 8 - used configurator and submitted reservation,
May 9 - received email from BMWUSA to confirm reservation,
May 11 - received invoice from preferred dealership and paid,
May 22 - received email from BMWUSA with brief order details and a production number,
May 22 - added iX3 to MyGarage, showing Step 1 - Order Received and Added Options and Standard Features are listed

Same here in NC.....does yours show wheel selection or just the vehicle picture shows wheel selection? Mine is not listed under options etc.
Don’t take any of what’s on mygarage as gospel.

The dealer will send you a final spec sheet before vehicle goes to production to confirm/make last minute changes.
I reserved and completed the deposit on day 1, but didn't get any email from BMW with the production number. I guess it's time to contact the dealership.

Mine shows status 111 Order Accepted. Also, others who have received this report, do you all show a Priority 1 Customer Sold?
My UK order status has been 111 for a few weeks, but delivery has moved from July ‘26 to February ‘27.

Yes, priority 1 customer is on the build sheet received from my dealer. Configured May 6th, received invoice for reservations May 6th, paid invoice May 12, got confirm from BMW of order May 20th, was able to add to my BMW account May 22. It is a much different process from Tesla or Porsche preproduction reservation process and information dissemination, but still looking to joining the BMW family.
What does Priority 1 Customer Sold actually mean? Is it an important status to achieve or is it just customary once the order is assigned a production number? (Also a BMW noob so I've never gone through this process before) And yes, that status does show up on my build sheet that the dealership sent me with my production number.

It’s a retail sold order and not a dealer wholesale order for inventory.
I know this can change, but my order shows
Req. Prod.: July 20, 2026 - 2026/07/30
Sub. Prod. July 30, 2026 - 2026/07/30
Conf. Prod. July 30, 2026 - 2026/07/30
I am assuming Req. = Requested, Sub. ?, and Conf. =. Confirmed.

Yes, directly from my sales agent. It is on my updated Order Modification Confirmation Dealer Form he sent me after I updated my wheel selection. The original MyGarage picture showed the wrong wheels. He had entered the wrong item #1051M. After he updated to the #1050M and sent me the confirmation, the picture also was updated on the MyGarage page.
Did anyone with an order get a discount? I just saw a broker is advertising 4.5% off on the iX3.
