Hi all, just thought it might be worth a thread on UK delivery timescales.

I placed my order for the iX3 50 on 23rd March and apparently it’s still not even had a build slot allocated, 2 months later…

The dealer today told me the 40’s were coming through more quickly than the 50’s but I think that’s probably a loads of BS considering that you can’t even spec a 40 on the configurator yet…!

How are others getting on?
I ordered on 21/4/2026 and I have heard nothing since.
I orderd first week of Feb and initially told late Aug but quickly came forward to 1st week July. Going to check with dealer tomorrow as I have seen comments re delays.
Order was Jan in the end with after a few complications via salary sacrifice and Aug build Sept deliver checked a week ish ago.

No news on any slips, if it does I’m going to review things then.
Ordered in early May ‘26. Was told by the dealer to expect a Q1-27 delivery.

Re the 40s - the sales guy did mention that I could have one delivered by as early as September ‘26 if I went for it. But decided not, given the 380-ish mile WLTP range and only about £5k difference in pricing for my configuration.
I ordered mid May 26 via company car scheme and was told a 38 week lead time and estimated delivery of 27 Feb 27. The local dealer told me the same timings when I went in for a test drive.

If you do a new car search on Autotrader for iX3 a couple of dealers come up saying they can do a 40 for September delivery. I'm slightly sceptical though.
Ordered iX3 50 M Sport Pro in early November 2025. Delivery originally September 2026 then moved to July 2026 but just moved right out to February 2027.

That is ridiculous, sounds like other countries must be jumping the queue

That's mad, probably just bad luck which dealer you chose.

I ordered in December and have my car now.
It does look like the real problems are with lease and salary sacrifice schemes rather than outright purchases through dealer. So hopefully (for me but not those on those schemes) it is their problems of over selling their allocations rather than a production issue.

My wife ordered her iX3 50 M Sport Pro on 1st Dec. It arrived in the UK around the 6th May and was about to be shipped to the dealer when one of the recalls came out. Still waiting but should still be June! Sep or Feb next year is ridiculous. Personally, I would opt for something else as part shortages are no doubt going to rear their head again.
I ordered mine December 29th. I was told in the live chat this morning that the status has changed to 150 with an estimated build date of June 24th.

Delivery should then take a couple of weeks, although given the number of updates/recalls needed it might take a bit longer.

rjberry's user avatarrjberry there's a name from the good old F30 post days. Looks like you've skipped the G20 generation?

It’s nice to see a name I remember!

Yes, I missed a generation or three along the way!

After spending too long away, it’s good to be back.
I am looking to change my 320i and looking at IX3 or i3 ( no news yet on production).
I was told that BMW is C concentrating on ix3 40, and delivery to start Sept this year as they believe it will be a big hit with company car buyers and lease companies. He was saying that IX3 deliveries will push back to December 26 or 2027.
I ordered February and was told November delivery, I cancelled as no way am I waiting that long.

Just heard that my order of March 26 and supposed delivery in September 2026, has now been pushed back to February 2027.
I've just heard that my early Feb order has come forward again to 22 June. If true I'm over the moon. I now have the VIN number does that enable me to track progress on line and if so how?
It appears according to a local BMW dealer that this years delivery quota for the iX3 for the UK is full and deliveries are being pushed into Q2 next year. However, that doesn’t explain why orders already placed with deliveries scheduled for July-September this year are being pushed into next February.

In the UK the MyBMW tracking is rubbish.

Go to BMW contact page and open online chat with a Genius. Give them your VIN and they can track it
