Yeah we’re at Williams Liverpool. They aren’t great with updates to be honest and won’t even give an estimate currently…

They’re not the best dealer from experience. Will likely be moving to Sytner in Warrington going forwards.

Just debating how long to wait before I cancel the order without any updates from them… Thinking I give them until the end of July to confirm dates at this point…

Interesting that there’s a few new options on the configurator now - might sneak in a few changes if I can…
Ordered early March - was at 111 for a while with an early November date.

It jumped back to 105 in early May with an August date.

Shortly after that they also told me July with a 111 code.

Last week it was 111 with a November date.

It’s now back at 111 with an August production date and a November delivery date.

I know it’s complicated but I don’t get how it’s changing date by 2/3 months on a weekly basis! I think I need to be clearer asking for production vs delivery dates.

That’s quite surprising, I’ve asked them twice for updates and both times they got back to me. I’m going to ask again this week, hopefully nothing has changed. I got my current car (M240i) from Warrington and requested test drives of the iX3 at both dealers, but Liverpool got in there first so they got the order.

Im guessing I’ve just been unlucky, but seems like I ordered a few weeks after you and all I’m getting from them is that no build slot is allocated and they don’t want to estimate any delivery date - I’m totally in the dark with them sadly…
I ordered October with a delivery date of June/July. Lots of too’ing and fro’ing later and it’s been built, shipped and sat in Southampton for the last couple of weeks. Apparently the same seat issue as others have mentioned. Due for delivery 1 June, collection Thursday yay - hopefully.

You just need them to give you the BMW AG order no. So you know central BMW have it in allocation. If they can’t give you that they don’t have allocation and they are stringing you along.

We ordered direct for the wife’s car and got the tracking no. The next day, we then use the BMW chat service on the BMW.co.uk website (not the chat bot but a real person in the contact us section). I use that to get updates.

I ordered as a company car in jan and it crept forwards but is now Aug build and Sept delivery ans that hasn’t moved for months now I checked again a few weeks ago.

Mine is a direct dealer order from November last year. They had 40 allocations. My delivery has gone September 26 > July 26 > February 27. Why? No real idea. I have added ‘Charging Pro’ which seems to have been delayed to Q3 2026 at least.

As said above, it’s a bit of a lottery at present!
Charging pro is seemingly delaying orders. Friend of mine who lives in German was told if he wanted his car this year to remove charging pro otherwise his build date moved from October to February - he removed it and it’s now got a confirmed build date in mid September.

Cheers - I have asked for this, let’s see what comes back…

Interestingly on the basis of the last post I did order the charging pro thing, so not sure if that’s some sort of an issue…

I ordered mine in September. In January, when I got an update that the car wouldn't be available until July, I added the AC Charging Professional option. Car finished production on 6th May, sat for a week in Debrecen waiting for a train, then sat at the Cuxhaven for a week waiting for a boat. Left Cuxhaven on the 22nd May, Arrived in the UK (Southampton) on the 25th May and arrived at the dealers this morning!!! Hoping to pick it up tomorrow if the dealers can turn it around over the next 24h.

I became very friendly with all of the BMW Genius' on the online chat! Go to "Start Live Chat" at the bottom of this page: https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/more-bmw/customer-support.html

They're probably glad not to have me asking them for updates every few days now... You can ask them for the date/time of status changes.
They are very helpful but uu must make sure you are on the live chat to a person and not the AI who can't help you.
Finally back here after losing my password, after the site was updated. Didn't receive a reply from any of the Admins.
Somehow managed to get the password reset today after many attempts!

Anyway, putting all that to one side, my car was ordered in March and is due in around 2 wks time.

Mine was ordered in March for delivery May and has been on Tech Hold most of May and still on sign of it yet. Yours might be the same.

I visited the dealership yesterday and he said there wasn't anything outstanding or pending (as I asked about any delays or recalls), so I would have thought they would know whether there was or not in advance.

Although if there was a delay, it's not a big deal, as I am part exchanging our existing car and they have now provided a figure and I've signed the paperwork 😊
Maybe my build spec differs too, which may be another reason as to why mine may not be affected!?

The current holds information.

One is due to corrosion of a semiconductor in a control unit. The control unit needs to be replaced. It's a one-day job. The control unit should be available from Monday.

BMW has announced a software update for June 12th that should fix the reason for the delivery stoppage of my iX3. This, along with a previous statement about a problem with the control unit on the battery, matches the information another user here received (incorrect software installed on the battery control unit, which can only be corrected with software written by BMW and expected to be available in mid-June). It seems there are currently several different reasons for the delivery stoppages.
My order of 23 Jan has just been updated to 154 final assembly with delivery due w/c 22 June. Getting excited

Hi Salmonfisher, we met at the Salisbury launch. I collected my car today and it came through pretty much as promised, so hopefully yours will too
