Interior is just such a let down compared to the current generation. Exterior and this new color are fine IMHO, but I’m struggling to like the insides. Perhaps once I get the chance to see it in person I’ll change my mind. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agreed. My wife has a 2023 and I like the inside much better. These interiors with one giant, long screen just lack character to me.

I think it’s a result of the interior being optimized for the next gen interface coming later with the full width hud and different screen setup

I agree, and the thing that really stunned me is the fact the moonroof doesn’t open…That’s a complete joke. I cannot believe it… Talk about cost-cutting

I don’t mind the screen as I do have an X5 LCI with it. It’s just the overall quality and the down grade in overall materials that have me disappointed with it. Sure the X3 M40i doesn’t have the quality my X5 has now but from the photos this just seems to be a step down from the current gen. Sad to see a step backwards rather than a leap forward in quality offerings.

You might be onto something there. Same I suppose with the current 5 series and new M5 that just debuted.

I just don’t like the leds everywhere. BMW used to use low light orange easy on the eyes for driving at night. Now it’s really distracting.

The red on the steering wheel looks so cheap.

Yeah, this too. This isn’t the first BMW model that has a moonroof that doesn’t open. Not sure the logic behind this.

Personally, I like that the moonroof is fixed. Fewer mechanical parts and edge seals that can wear down over time. This is one industry trend I can get behind.

I do miss the iconic low light orange that used to be used but I also don’t necessarily mind what they’ve done here with the LEDs either. I would have preferred maybe a small strip across the upper door panel and around the cup holders rather than the large boomerang on the doors and what is around the cup holders.

Engineers will claim it’s more structurally stiff. But old gen bmw x3’s had such beautiful open air feeling because of how large the moonroof opened. The 2011 x3 had a larger opening than the 2018. Now this 2025 is all closed up. Just not fun.

I know. Tesla recently added LED accents on the highland and it’s the perfect restraint.

These new plastic bevels around the phone charger are aimed at a younger crowd I think. Well younger than me.

I feel like we’re either redefining what a moonroof is, or BMW should call it something else like “glass roof.” Moonroofs and sunroofs open. 👨🏻‍⚖️

Kinda funny how X3 went full circle to me. 1st gen X3 didn't look that great and X1 wasn't introduced state side so it looked the part as entry level BMW. Then the 2nd gen came out strong and fantastic. The LCI with those early signs of straight lines was concerning though but they grew on me. This thing though, back to first gen X3 weak looks. The strange part is that the X1 M35i looks FAR better than this.

It seems like there’s too much of the touch screen in my opinion. I know that’s the new design, but I prefer the iDrive from the 2020 or so models.

Anyone notice that the grill is now angled with the top protruding more forward than the bottom?

To be fair, they did change the terminology. Their marketing press releases have consistently called it the "panoramic glass roof". It's just us who continue to call it a moon roof or sunroof.
