There is a pending technical update for this vehicle. To carry out the technical update, please arrange a service appointment with your BMW partner as soon as possible. Recall code: 0061660900.
Have you got your car yet? If so, when did it arrive?
No. No sign of it yet. No error codes on recall website mind you but dealer saying oh that was an old recall

Same as mine. Dealer saying Tech Hold and bmw saying delivery 8th June. I just want my car now as I have been waiting since first week of May. If not here soon they can keep it. 73k car and it’s already gone wrongπŸ˜‚.

Ultimate driving machine, not when you can’t drive it.

BMW are going down the list of car brands from top the near the bottom with the delivery of this car.
2 weeks later:
email from dealer:
This Delivery Stop has not been lifted on β€˜β€™Control unit check’’ Im afraid. Ill let you know when its lifted and we can register it for you

Sorry to hear that 😳

Just rechecked mine and luckily no recalls yet. Just need it to stay that clear until Tuesday 🀞
I read on Motor-Talk about the current holds.

One is due to corrosion of a semiconductor in a control unit. The control unit needs to be replaced. It's a one-day job. The control unit should be available from Monday.

BMW has announced a software update for June 12th that should fix the reason for the delivery stoppage of my iX3. This, along with a previous statement about a problem with the control unit on the battery, matches the information another user here received (incorrect software installed on the battery control unit, which can only be corrected with software written by BMW and expected to be available in mid-June). It seems there are currently several different reasons for the delivery stoppages.

This was on German version of Auto Sport
Another recall of the BMW iX3 : Just days after the electric SUV was recalled due to a risk of electric shock, the next recall is already underway. This time it concerns incorrectly installed airbags. "The side airbags were not screwed in according to specifications, which means that in the event of an airbag deployment due to an accident, the airbag could deploy incorrectly or the gas generator could move out of position and hit the occupants,"

According to the KBA (German Federal Motor Transport Authority), which is overseeing the recall, 4,843 vehicles worldwide are affected, 1,071 of which are located in Germany. These vehicles were manufactured between December 18, 2025, and May 8, 2026. However, there is some confusion regarding the exact number of affected vehicles. When asked by auto motor und sport, a BMW spokesperson cited a figure of 2,913 affected vehicles but did not clarify whether this was an international or German figure. The spokesperson also stated the production period as January 8 to May 14, 2026.

As confirmed by the BMW spokesperson, "in the event of airbag deployment, the head airbag may not deploy correctly or components may detach from the airbag." At the same time, comfort may decrease, as "rattling noises during driving cannot be ruled out." To resolve the issue, the head airbag mounting screws on both sides of the vehicle will be inspected and, if necessary, adjusted at the authorized BMW service center. BMW has not yet specified how long the required service visit is expected to take.

I do apologise PX3
When I was waiting for mine it was so frustrating when car was stuck on quality check not knowing why.
Then when I got it and realised some some functions were missing.
BMW are not the best providing updates

It's all good robe033's user avatarrobe033, I'm only joking.

I expected there to be issues in all fairness, especially with this being new and introducing new technology etc.
When I was first told Sept as my delivery time, I was somewhat ok with it, as by that date they may have ironed out a lot of the issues, but since it's been moved forward, I'm now somewhat concerned as to when mine may be recalled.
At present I have nothing showing up, but as the delivery is imminent, I don't really fancy having to pop back and forth to the dealership if a recall/s do suddenly appear.

I guess I will have to wait and see.

Thanks for the information, keep it coming. πŸ‘
